TOTES FUN - Brand Identity


The perfect bright, sturdy, spacious and washable anything bag. Totes Fun is an outgoing brand born in Burleigh Heads, QLD, by the beach. This start-up was about to launch and needed to make a splash in an already busy market. By taking inspiration from the bold shape of the bag and combining the ‘fun’ into the branding, we began to build something that would inspire people to jump on board our ‘Totes Fun’ bandwagon.​​​​​​​


THE CONCEPT

The totes fun brand idea was based around the bold and rounded shape of the bags themselves, and the fun bright colours they came in. The bag shape lent itself to a ‘U’, and the two ‘T’s in ‘Totes’ when placed above became the handles. The bag shape then also doubled as a smile, which represents the ‘fun’ aspect of the brand.


A social media content strategy was created. Four pillars covering four different areas of the brand to share. FUNCTION; The function of the bag in the form of #totesreasons, BEACH VIBES; Images of beautiful Burleigh beach showing where the brand was created and setting the tone and lifestyle of the brand, FUN; The essence of the brand shown in quirky ways, a break from the selling. PRODUCT; Inspirational images of the bags in use.


A group of geometric rounded shapes make up the brand graphics. These shapes are used over photography but also to create custom branded charms that are made especially for the holes in the TOTES FUN bags.
